Djokovic To Face Ruud In French Open Final

Djokovic to face Ruud in French Open final

Djokovic beats Nadal in four sets to reach Roland Garros final

Novak Djokovic will take on Casper Ruud in the French Open final after beating Rafael Nadal in four sets on Friday. Djokovic won 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-6 (7-4) to reach his 29th Grand Slam final. Ruud reached his second Grand Slam final with a 6-3 6-4 6-0 win over Marin Cilic in the other semi-final.

Djokovic's victory over Nadal was a rematch of last year's final, which Djokovic also won in four sets. It was the 59th meeting between the two players, and Djokovic now leads the head-to-head record 30-29.

Ruud is the first Norwegian man to reach a Grand Slam final. The 23-year-old has been in impressive form this year, winning the Geneva Open and reaching the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters. He is also the highest-ranked Norwegian player in ATP history.

The French Open final will be played on Sunday, June 5. Djokovic is the favorite to win, but Ruud will be hoping to cause an upset and become the first Norwegian man to win a Grand Slam title.
