Kansas City Chiefs Player Chris Lammons Arrested for Alleged Assault

Former Kansas City Chiefs player Chris Lammons has been arrested and charged with felony assault, according to Jackson County court records.

Lammons, 25, was arrested on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, and charged with first-degree assault. He was released on a $50,000 bond.

According to court records, Lammons allegedly assaulted a woman on February 12, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri. The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Lammons was a defensive back for the Chiefs for two seasons, from 2020 to 2021. He was a member of the Chiefs' Super Bowl LIV championship team.

The Chiefs released Lammons in March 2022 after he was arrested on a separate charge of domestic violence. That case is still pending.

Lammons is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on March 23, 2023.
