Lions Penei Sewell Jameson Williams Questionable For Buccaneers Matchup

Lions' Penei Sewell, Jameson Williams questionable for Buccaneers matchup

Detroit Lions' starting left tackle Penei Sewell and rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams are both questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sewell suffered an ankle injury in the Lions' Week 1 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He missed last week's game against the Washington Commanders.

Williams, the Lions' first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has been dealing with a knee injury. He has yet to make his NFL debut.

If Sewell and Williams are unable to play, the Lions will be without two of their most important offensive players. Sewell is one of the best young offensive tackles in the NFL, and Williams is a dynamic playmaker who could give the Lions' offense a much-needed boost.

The Lions will also be without wide receiver Quintez Cephus, who is out with a foot injury.

The Lions are hoping to get back on track after losing to the Commanders last week. They will face a tough test against the Buccaneers, who are led by quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Mike Evans.

The Lions will need to find a way to slow down Brady and Evans, and they will need to get their offense going. If they can do that, they have a chance to pull off an upset.
